Wait, aren’t these …
Wait, aren’t these all Bible Belt states? They can’t have these problems, they’re all good Christians! And somehow those gay-loving scumbag anti-American liberals in MA seem to be devoid of these horrific social indicators.

The opposition to a …
The opposition to a public option will blabber that a 1 trillion dollar over 10 yrs healthcare system will bankrupt the usa when 2 phony wars in iraqistan has already led to the bankruptcy of the usa and what, 40, 50, 60 trillion dollars on an already 20-30 trillion dollar debt. From what I know usa debt is about 78 trillion. 78. Trillion. For real.
It is interesting though that yes the vaccine has caused problems in other countries, though I am unaware whats happened in usa..

Yes in other words 20% more americans are against Obamacare than in favor of it.
What will that do for Democrats politically if they ram through something americans don’t want with reconcilliation?

@MountAthos: The …
@MountAthos: The Rasmussen Poll actually said: “44% of U.S. voters are at least somewhat in favor of the reform effort while 53% are at least somewhat opposed.”
This poll also found that folks earning 40k/yr or less want reform. That seems to suggest that poorer families in this country have trouble affording healthcare now.

60% of the doctors …
60% of the doctors in polled in the New England Medical Journal support Obama’s plan for national coverage. If anything is bankrupting America it is our rubber stamp for our ugly rip off Military Industrial Complex. Like the $1.2 trillion vanishing from the Pentagon budget announced by Rumsfeld himself on 9.10.09. That’s what is killing us not one’s choice to provide medical for the nation. I am amazedsome “Christians” cannot accept help for the ill.

Oh spare me. That …
Oh spare me. That logic is like saying because you see that black widows kill their mates and crickets do not, that makes you partial to crickets. It is what it is. It is a fact. I guess racism is telling the truth to you. However, please do not confuse the White racist politicians of those states that dictate those policies and control those states with people like Rachel who expose them. Nice try dumbass.

That’s interesting, …
That’s interesting, because I’m looking at a poll released today that says: Fifty-six percent (56%) of voters nationwide now oppose the health care reform proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. Thats the highest level of opposition yet measured. Just 43% now favor the proposal. Rasmussen

MountAthos,
“Most …
MountAthos,
“Most Americans” who? 75% of doctors, the AMA and 70%+/- of citizens (if asked the properly worded question) want an option on HC coverage–private or government based. You know, freedom to choose.
And, Pres. Obama’s only involvement in the final outcome of any HC bill is his pen to sign or not into law.
btw, I hope the Health Insurance Co. paid you well for you soul. Because we all know that once that’s broken it’s unredeemable.

I disagree with your claim that a majority of Americans believe that this health care plan would reduce the quality of health care provided.
And just curious, why do you believe Obama’s proposed solution will do more harm than good?

Most Americans believe Obamacare would REDUCE the quality of health care provided.
In your analogy, it would be like seeing a drowning man, and throwing them an anvil.
Obama’s solutions do more harm than good.

@ MountAthos:You …
@ MountAthos:You have missed the whole point. Its not about saying how health care in South Carolina fails to meet acceptable standards. The point of this is to ask why the people in South Carolina are so adamant about rejecting the people that can help them increase the quality of health care in their state.
Its like if you feel off a boat in the middle of the ocean and someone wanted to throw you a life preserver but you said no thanks because it would be infringing on your right to be there.

Rachel’s magic map …
Rachel’s magic map trick is comparing the WHITEST, RICHEST STATES…. with the states that are the POOREST, WITH THE MOST BLACKS.
Great Racist argument Rachel!
Rich whites have better health and lower teen pregnancy! Poor blacks are the opposite!
You think it’s because of a highly questionable HPV vaccine? Guess what the same statistics existed the same way before that even existed!
It’s amazing these people call themselves “progressives”. Nothing more regressive than socialism.

Who is forcing you …
Who is forcing you to get a vaccine? And, of course, when you do get sick you won’t have insurance so you’ll go to the emergency room and we’ll all end up paying for it. Either that or you’ll go bankrupt, default on your medical bills and we’ll all end up paying for it.

Check out book on “The HPV Vaccine Controversy: Sex, Cancer, God and Politics” authored by Shobha S. Krishnan, M.D, Barnard college, Columbia University. It is available at amazon.com and Barnes and Noble .com and is written without the influence of any pharmaceutical company or special interest groups. The book educates both professionals and the public about HPV infections, the diseases they cause and the role/ controversies surrounding the new vaccines. The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA, June 17th 2009) calls the book superb and a terrific contribution to the field. http://www.thehpvbook.com/
