    This is about …
    This is about CHOICE. Making abortion illegal isn’t the answer. Are you suggesting forced pregnancy is? The birth control pill prevents a fertilized egg from attaching to the uterine wall. In your ideal world is the pill illegal too? The number of abortions has continued to decline, as our society has begun to publicly discuss “birth control” e.g., condom ads on MTV etc.

    It’s interesting …
    It’s interesting that you talk about having a modicum of intelligence and commitment while using the moniker “Notorious Pimp.” It’s no wonder that you make no mention of the many women whose boyfriends/husbands refuse to use protection and guilt them into having unprotected sex, only to completely ditch them once they’re pregnant.

    How does abortion …
    How does abortion being legal hurt the family? Many women who have abortions already have children and cannot afford to care for another one. Should all of the children go hungry so that they can have another sibling?

    What decisions …
    What decisions shouldn’t be respected? Like war? Like preventing a public health option? It seems conservatives only support the ability to make a choice when they alone get to make it for everyone else.

    @flood77777 What …
    @flood77777 What about the women who choose not to abort and go on to abuse and neglect their children because they’re too young or too poor or too alone to properly care for them? Some of those women are haunted for the rest of their lives, and EVERY person should be haunted knowing that these things happen because far more effort is put into defending the anti-abortion position than is put toward developing feasible solutions.

    @Cruisemissleking …
    @Cruisemissleking Abortion is not healthcare! The definition of healthcare is the maintaining and restoration of health by the treatment and prevention of disease. Explain to me how killing an unborn child fits into that. Also check your facts about alley abortions. Even if we corrected the Roe vs. Wade decision we wouldn’t have forgotten how to do the procedure. There will still be somebody to do it illegally. BTW woman still die during these “safe” procedures .

    So you don’t have …
    So you don’t have to actually open your bible
    Exodus 21: 22 “When men strive together and hit a pregnant woman, so that her children come out, but there is no harm, the one who hit her shall surely be fined, as the womans husband shall impose on him, and(O) he shall pay as the(P) judges determine. 23But if there is harm,[c] then you shall pay(Q) life for life, 24(R) eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

    @dswynne As for …
    @dswynne As for your statements about not all Christians think alike. You are correct, satan continues to work in all our hearts and leads us away from Christ. The Bible does speak out against abortion and suicide but both war and the death penalty can be justified. In fact Exodus 21:22-25 deals with both abortion and the death penalty.

    @dswynne I’m not …
    @dswynne I’m not sure what you have been studying to state “Christians believe that the unborn are born innocent” nothing could be father from the truth. From the moment Adam and Eve ate of the fruit every human has been born into sin. Its called the Old Adam. From the moment of conception we are sinful. It is why God sacrificed and punished His only Son. If we were anything but sin there would be no need for Christ to die!

    @dswynne …
    @dswynne Unfortunately not all Christians are pro-life. The correct teachings of Christ are that all life is important. Even if they disagree with us and even go so far as to hate Christ Himself. We are also called to protect those that are less fortunate and too weak to protect themselves. Hence our involvement in both world wars, the Korean war and countless others. Have we made mistakes and have some abused our power yes but that’s why we need to look to Christ for guidance.

    I couldn’t agree …
    I couldn’t agree more! Being pregnant is a result of deciding to have sex and women should not be able to “correct” this choice by ending the life of their child. As the old saying goes, “2 wrongs don’t make a right”

    That means …
    That means absolutely nothing. Life is meaningless to those who are not self aware.

    @veritasaltius The …
    @veritasaltius The baby can’t make that choice. And if I as a fetus had known all of what I was going to go through in life and how my parents would have suffered because of me being born, I might have chosen not to be born at all.

    There are just some situations where babies are better off not being born. It has nothing to selfish people and stupid, man made ideas of what’s ‘moral’ and ‘right.’ Sometimes doing what’s right makes you look evil to ignorant, stupid people.

    Yeah. Some people …
    Yeah. Some people feel like their decision to kill should be respected. We call them murderers; sociopaths. We lock them in prisons.

    this is a great ad. …
    this is a great ad. abortion is the law. get over it. if you don’t like it, don’t get the procedure. no one is forced to have an abortion. however, if the religious nuts have their way, they would force us to bear kids even when we cannot physically or emotionally do so.
    Just like they messed up our drug and alcohol laws during the prohibition, they will mess up reproductive rights. Stick to reading verses. Get your hands off people’s bodies.

    You “don’t consider …
    You “don’t consider the fetus to be a baby until a certain point in its development”, yet, scientifically, a baby is a baby from conception.

    “We are working …
    “We are working toward the day where every woman should be valued.”
    So, that includes baby girls in the womb, right?
    Anyways. I love how some people seem to think that being pregnant is some sort of medical issue or illness, like cancer or a kidney disease.
    And by trusting their daughters to “make the right decision”, how about waiting to have sex until they can support a child? Sex leads to babies…it’s common knowledge.

    did planned …
    did planned parenthood feel threatened by the FOF ad…I like Tim’s Ad better….and his mom is so cute! What a brave woman for choosing to give her child life regardless of what it would cost. By the time a woman typically finds out she is pregnant, the heart is beating, brain development is taking place and organs are developing/developed. Life is a life no matter how small…
