Most MD’s do not …
Most MD’s do not recognize saliva testing
for hormones. It is a life & death turf
battle on the part of TV and media doctors.
Saliva testing is very viable for hormones
and, increasingly, for many other diseases.
Anyone who thinks that hormones are not important in the treatment of postpartum depression needs to think again.
is not important

I suggested that a …
I suggested that a relative get her cortisol
tested. The MD, of coarse, gives her a
blood test and everything’s fine. A saliva
and urine test would have told her about
all her hormones that fluctuate AM to PM.
She doesn’t know it but she experienced what passes for a “checkup” which makes her feel like she did something but did nothing to
see what might be hormonally behind her depression. Is it me or is there something wrong here?
