Where can I find a directory of health-related publications that accept unsolicited completed articles?
I have several high-quality researched articles on a ‘nutraceutical’ topic (nutritional products that confer measurable health benefits), that have been published in Canadian periodicals and which the authors would like to provide free to publications elsewhere. I am already investigating online article posting sites, but I’d like to offer them to print publications as well. I’ve seen the ‘google directory’, but I wonder if there is something more comprehensive? The articles would be suitable for publication in anything from a layperson’s ‘newsletter’ type pub all the way up to a fairly scientific industry-specific pub; but they are not peer-reviewed science articles. They are more geared towards non-mainstream health-care providers (nutritionists, massage therapists, naturopaths, cosmetic surgeons), vendors and consumers. The articles are in English and I am looking for markets in the UK, Australia, the US and anywhere else other than Canada. Huge thanks in advance for any help.

If they sound promotional or biassed, no one will want them. Many publishers have no interest in articles that have been previously published, no matter where that was.

You can find publications in the US that MIGHT be interested by doing a little research in The Writers Market (you can find it at bookstores and libraries). This book will tell you about article guidelines for just about any publication that accepts contributed articles, and it is organized by topic.
