HOWEVER, there is an exception and the exception is HUGE.  Your mother must be covered through a group insurance plan, like one you would get through work.  If she&#039;s covered by an individual plan, the Women&#039;s Health and Cancer Rights Act doesn&#039;t apply to her insurance.
